Annual Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving


The Annual Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will take place in Corpus Christi Church, Home Farm Road, Dublin 9, on Saturday 4th October, 2008, at 1pm.

 

One Man's Courage Gives Hope

German born Ivan Klasnic became the first player ever to take part in the European Football Championships after a kidney transplant, and completed his stunning recovery, scoring to give Croatia a 1-0 win over Poland.

Bigger than Bitterness

Twelve year old Ahmed Khatib was shot by Israeli soldiers when he and another child who had been playing in the street were caught up in an exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Palestinian gunmen. An older boy ran, carrying Ahmed, trying to reach a hospital in Jenin where they lived.

The Irish Transplant and Dialysis Games held in Dublin from June 14th - 15th were a great success again this year.

London Triathlon

The London Triathlon is the world’s largest triathlon with over 10,000 competitors. It involves a continuous race over various distances in the three disciplines of swimming, cycling and running.
